I’ve spent the last 7 years listening to this podcast, and only maybe played Warmachine for the first 2 and a half years. Before I knew it though, listening to chain-attack became a part of my weekly ritual, and this change is a welcome one. There was honestly a certain point where I’d enjoy listening to everyone talk about their Children (cats included) or flower gardens and potholes, then we’d move to warmachine and It’d just turn into noise.
It’s totally fair to say some of your audience has matured with the show, as I went from highschool graduate to career-man with a family who still made time to listen to Trevor complain about Nemo. Now I play games like gloomhaven after the hosts recommendations which has now started me down a long, dark, expensive path in board gaming, and I’m thankful for it.
I’m super glad the show will be continuing on in other capacities, and will be happy to support it once I recover from the heart-attack of someone saying “ITS ENDING IT WONT EXIST”
Agreed, when I first heard that the podcast was ending I was a little bit upset. This podcast actually got me back into Warmachine, or at least I should say got me putting models together and playing games as opposed to just casually reading about what’s going on with Privateer Press. I have been a Privateer Press fan from its Inception back in highschool (circa 1998) and have always followed their products, but I’ll be honest this podcast got me back into actually playing and I’m really enjoying it. It seriously has rekindled a lot of friendships, and made many more for me. That in itself is something I can’t thank you for enough.
I’m still somewhat nervous as to your content, I’m very busy and only have time for one hobby Warmachine, but needless to say I have grown fond of your banter and like hearing the back and forth.
My only request, or should I say recommendation is that you realize you’re actually going to have to talk about something related to what it is you’re setting out to review within the first 20 minutes of the podcast as opposed to your usual ramblings and nonsense.
No offense but come on guys I wouldn’t say everybody would be as patient, but I’ve always enjoyed every second of the podcast and wish you all the best.
Thanks for everything you’ve done with Chain-Attack!
Chain-Attack-“Don’t ring the death knell on Warmachine”
Also Chain-Attack-*rings death knell on Warmachine
Joking. Wish you all the best. Thank you for being there for all these years. Also, thank you for discount games inc. Best of luck on your new endeavors!
I’m totally on board! Thank you for continuing the podcast in whatever form. I’m in a similar boat as William Gale above. I still collect models – or rather – un-assembled models. I have also been working on an RPG campaign in the Iron Kingdoms and assembling said minis for use in that game. While it’s cool to keep up with the new models and speculate on how they would work together, I’m just as happy when you guys talk about Dad Jokes and etc. and etc. Y’all have become an enjoyable weekly check-in with a community on which I hang in the fringe. Glad you’ll be allowing the chat to roam around. Thank you!!
